About Manya Suresh- Founder of CFAC

Hi! I'm Manya Suresh, a senior at Columbus North High School in Columbus Indiana. My incentive for this event comes from my encounter with ophthalmic conditions, including the struggles me and my sister have had with eye disorders.
I have an ophthalmic condition called Strabismus that causes my eyes to drift outward. As a Strabismus patient, people have questioned me about participating in fun activities such as performing on stage for dancing and singing, and even called me chameleon eyes. Creating art, and taking pictures were outlets that helped me calm down and express my feelings. Now, as a high schooler, I'm resolved to change these experiences for other kids with ophthalmic conditions who might be struggling in silence by founding CFAC.
Another motive I had for creating this event was my sister's eye condition, Uveitis. This eye problem currently doesn't have a cause or cure. With Create For A Cause, I want to raise funds for researching conditions like Uveitis so that cures can be developed.
Due to my passion for art, and my experience with eye diseases, I developed Create for a Cause. By participating in this event, you will not only spread awareness and raise funds for research at the Indiana University School of Medicine, you might find a new outlet to express your feelings and creativity! In this regard, I hope that you can participate in Create For A Cause and create art with me!
